In the news- cilantro salmonella concerns

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has put out a warning today for consumers to not to eat Nature’s Reward brand fresh cilantro due to concerns it may be contaminated with salmonella. Toronto-based importer Fresh Taste Produce Ltd. is recalling the cilantro, which was sold at Walmart stores in Ontario from January 17 to 27. To view the full press release click here.

Also today a new study that came out has found that the longer a mother works outside the home, the more likely her kids will become overweight. Interesting study but how realistic is this really? In this day-and-age being a stay-at-home mom is difficult. Lots of families can’t live on a single income for long periods of time, so most mom’s have to go back to work eventually.. Another study shows a possible link to obesity if you were started on solid foods early in life. Basically this study is saying that parents should wait until babies are 4 to 6 months old before starting them on solid foods? Isn’t that normal? I don’t know, I don’t have kids.
